Survey App has been developed most importantly to minimise the workload on office staff, reduce potential mistakes and make surveys more
readable and accessible and also cut down the amount of paper waste.
Surveyors log in to the portal using their tablets when visiting the property, input the job number and load the survey form.
They are then able to add new windows and doors and can draw on the images if they can’t find the exact product from the templates
or need to include additional information on the drawing. Once they complete the drawing, they can populate all relevant information
using form input fields. This drastically reduces the possible mistakes that occured when everything was hand written and wasn’t too readable.
Once all the products are input, the surveyors save the form. All data is written to Azure SQL database and is then accessible through EvoNET
for the Production Planning department that processes the surveys into our system. The Survey App isn’t of course a one way system,
meaning that once the survey is completed it can still be edited and additional products can be added if needed.
Technologies used:
Apart from all technologies used in CMS Portal, the Survey App uses Canvas for drawing and Azure AD for authentication.
