Crystal Reports

Using data to populate dynamic reports.

At CMS Window Systems Ltd, SAP Crystal Reports is the main software used for generating reports. It is responsible for creating technical reports such as product worksheets, cutting lists or delivery notes. Furthermore, the software is used by our Human Resources and Payroll departments where it produces the reports like employees’ details, employees’ holidays or company leavers.

Similar to EvoNET, I have made small tweaks to existing reports and also produced completely new ones from empty pages. Some of the reports developed by me are:

Survey letter - Creates a survey letter with appropriate customer’s logo, address details and survey date. Furthermore, depending on the specific customer, the correct person’s details from the Customer Care department are used in the signature.

Payroll Summary Export - Generates list of employee IDs with sum of hours worked for the specified date range. The report is designed in an Excel ‘friendly’ format allowing the Payroll department to easily export the report into a CSV file and import it to one of the company's softwares.

Current Employee Details - Lists all current employees’ details. Data is taken from six different tables with various joins used in order to achieve the correct result. Moreover, the report uses groupings.
